Milobar says he’s BC Tories’ best chance at forming next government

Conservative Party of British Columbia members are looking for a leader who can not just win the ongoing leadership race but be taken seriously enough to win a general election, one of the candidates said during a campaign stop in Prince George on Monday, March 16.

As of that date, Kamloops Centre Conservative MLA Peter Milobar was the only sitting MLA still in the race to succeed John Rustad as leader of the provincial Tories.

Langley-Abbotsford Conservative MLA Harman Bhangu dropped out earlier that same day to endorse former BC United executive Caroline Elliott and Abbotsford South Conservative MLA Bruce Banman dropped out the previous day to endorse entrepreneur Yuri Fulmer.

Locally, Prince George-Mackenzie Conservative MLA Kiel Giddens has endorsed Milobar’s candidacy.
