FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE, JAN. 16, 2025, VICTORIA, BC – Outside the British Columbia Legislature today, MLA Peter Milobar launched his campaign to become Leader of the Conservative Party of British Columbia.

“A lot of people have asked me why would I be considering doing something like this. It’s such a fractured party. There is no way forward. It’s too divisive.’

Peter Milobar, the finance critic for British Columbia’s Opposition Conservatives, said his run for the leadership of the party is just the first step toward becoming premier as he touted his electability.

Kamloops-Centre MLA Peter Milobar said Friday he will run in the B.C. Conservative Party’s leadership race.

The field of candidates to replace John Rustad as leader of the BC Conservatives continues to grow, with a high-profile name joining the race.
