The race to lead the Conservative Party of British Columbia is beginning to narrow, just as a new poll suggests Peter Milobar may be the party’s strongest candidate to defeat the governing BC New Democratic Party in the next provincial election.
“Only Peter Milobar would result in a clear majority,” said the poll, published Monday.

The poll indicates Milobar, the only sitting legislator vying for the leadership of the Official Opposition, would secure a clear majority, with a projected 53 Conservative seats to 38 for the NDP.
Conservative MLA Peter Milobar was the only sitting MLA still in the race to succeed John Rustad as leader of the provincial Tories.
Under current interim leader Trevor Halford, the BC Conservative trail the David Eby led NDP by almost 2 points.
