“With BC Conservative Peter Milobar at the helm, the BC Conservatives would secure a clear majority, based largely on gains made in the Lower Mainland.”
Mainstreet found Milobar received 37.7 per cent support among all voters — the highest Conservative total among the leadership contenders — and 43.8 per cent among decided voters, giving him a 5.5-point lead over the NDP at 38.3 per cent.
Seat projections suggest a similar pattern.
The poll indicates Milobar, the only sitting legislator vying for the leadership of the Official Opposition, would secure a clear majority, with a projected 53 Conservative seats to 38 for the NDP.
